Stronger capital markets would provide new sources of funding for businesses, help to increase options for savers and make the economy more resilient. The general objectives of the European Action Plan on building a Capital Markets Union are complementary to the Banking Union and are fully shared by Italian banks, but for its implementation there is the need for a strong convergence of a large rules set more extensive than that indicated by the European Commission
