This paper analyses the
main factors currently affecting the development of agricultural credit
and proposes some possible measures. A more specialized and focused
financial sector could represent one of the key factors in the
competitiveness of Italian agriculture. In this respect, it is worth
considering the potential role of the Mario Ravà Foundation
as a centre of expertise and dialogue between the banking industry,
businesses, the professionals, institutions and the research community.
