Dlt-based technologies have aroused the interest of scholars and operators in the banking world. In recent years, various experiments have highlighted the potential of these technologies in the financial world, particularly in posttrading, guaranteeing speed of execution, transparency of information, interoperability between market infrastructures and simplification of processes, thanks to the disintermediation made possible by a decentralized and automated system. The article analyzes some examples of application of Dlt technologies to finance, highlighting their functional, organizational and regulatory profiles and impacts on financial entities.
