Ethics and finance in the age of Artificial Intelligence

How does the relationship between finance and technology stand in the face of ethics? In other words, can the application of technologies unprecedented in history – such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and their multiple operational declinations – affect, and in what way, the ethical dimension of finance? In the background of these questions there is the risk of the depersonalization of finance, a phenomenon that can have devastating effects, also on the human level. Moreover, it is right and ethical to avoid that only the rich have access to the financial market, but it is of fundamental importance (and equally ethical) that there is a general awareness of the risks involved when using an icy algorithm.
