Big Data, profiling and consumer protection in the Fintech era

The role of the Data Protection Authority will be relevant in the Fintech sector. According to the new European regulation, the Authority will promote the establishment of certifications and seals and marks mechanisms, together with appropriate certificate bodies, in order to allow customers to quickly assess the level of protection offered by Fintech products, services and platforms. Data protection is therefore a valuable tool for combining innovation and rights, market and freedom.
