The real estate brokerage market in Italy, with many different players mainly in the residential segment, has seen in recent years new players affiliated to banking groups starting their business. The new players adopt selling and management policies diverging with the average market standards. The aim of the article is to evaluate the role of banking groups’ affiliated brokers and to underline their key features by analyzing the case study of Intesa Sanpaolo Casa. The analysis considers all selling orders managed by the firm since its inception and evaluates the time on the market and the pricing for all transactions executed, underlining the main differences with standard real estate brokers.
